I was looking at the quest list and noticed that we kind of forgot all about Valcona. Weren't we following her tracks right up to the frog-dudes? Or did we just kind of drop her pursuit after we found the Dryad?

Yes as I understand it, you stopped looking for her tracks after the dryad encounter.

Just read through the recap.
We have a few options when we meet Chardath:
1) - We kill him. Considering that his sister wants him dead, it's not that bad a choice.
2) - We try to help him. Before we rule this one out, remember what Tindel saw: Chardath read a silver libram, lost control of his body, and killed his sister in cold blood. He wept uncontrollably over the loss, and buried her in respect. Maybe he's not evil?
I'm not sure how we can help the crazy guy, but it's worth a shot. It IS part of being the good guys: helping others find redemption. If he refuses, we can simply resort to Option 1. We might need to get that ax away from him though; if Shivnar gave it to him, it probably isn't going to be good for us.
Thoughts?

From the fun times that the Bakali had with Chardath and the conversation went fairly good for the most part. They found out that his emotions are quick to change, and that his true wish in helping him[Which they said they would.. kinda lied a bit to get the key] was to bring Shivnar back here so he can chop off his head with the ax.
Don't know if that feat will be attained but he does know of the portals, helping Regor and Thrrdon out with them. So its obvious he ain't that bad of a fella... He just got conflicted with Shivnar and got betrayed.[Damn villains]. He doesn't know much about the ruby but I have come to an interesting conclusion.. My perspective and over analysis.
First Portal had a dragon.. Fiery red dragon that killed knights. Second Portal was a Temple with knights made of glass. Third Portal for Bakali had a man dressed in royal clothing. A prince or King. Third Portal for Other group had a princess.
Anyone getting a strange medieval feel yet xD. Found it a little weird.

Interesting conclusions... I wonder what more you could have learned had you activated more memories..... Of course, Regortar and Sangrias almost went insane doing that I'm sure it will be fun to see what you guys actually end up doing. I guess at some point I'll explain everything when it can't alter the current story.

Considering what we've encountered so far, this sounds like the Aurim empire. What exactly this entails for us is still out of my mental grasp, though. It may be possible Chardath and his sister were nobility before this whole thing happened. Shivnar (the snake-in-the-grass he is) is still very much an enigma.
Even so, I doubt Chardath is in any mood to pass his own test, let alone help us. Perhaps we're supposed to gather the rubies for him? Maybe it can spur his mind to regain sanity.
