Before next session please feel free to ask any questions your character may have for Leander the Great Druid. He is sickly old man and rather senile, but he is capable of answering the questions. He speaks many languages and even understands Bakali. Keep in mind that he knows nothing of the Great Destruction (Cataclysm).

Out of curiousity, what's the bullywug's name? I'd imagine I'd find some time while we're recuperating to find that out, at least.

The Bullywug tells you his name is Utad. During the search of the Tower Level he expressed great interest in the journal entries and constantly looked up to the hole in the ceiling. He seems to be convinced that his father is in the ritual chamber mentioned in the book.

EDIT: Alas, I have chosen poorly.

After we take a bit of a breather for our short rest, I suppose everyone would look around and see what they would turn up.
If I recall, the items of interest was: *Bookshelves (Probably White Robe Magic) *Desk (Probably has notes) *Circle of Summoning (Probably where the giant ape demon appeared) *Circle of Protection (Not sure why this is here) *Throne with colored braziers (used to have stones, now since taken by the Renegade) (Probably has another secret compartment) *Sealed Pentagram Exit above. (The Renegade traced along the pentagram and somehow managed to bypass it, as well as the stones)
If I missed anything, lemme know. Sangrias would check out the throne for that secret compartment and hope there's a White Robe book in there.

Its only fitting that Regor be the one to give Utad the final blow. Poor creature deserved to die for his vile tricks! Hesa goen to make good foosa.
Regor will also suggest splitting the two stones up. Incase there is a trap, that way no matter who they pick on first. They can't get two stones right away.

The only thing you missed was the large dodecahedron (d12) shaped red ruby floating (and slowly turning) in front of the throne. I'll post again on here soon with all the details.

Bookshelves
Each of the 5 book shelves on this level are labeled with an inscription in Magius as follows: Magic of Defense, Magic of Radiance, Magic of Resistance, Magic of Sustenance, and Magic of Truth
After searching through the book shelves the party digs up the following ritual scrolls. Purify Water, Seal Portal, Disenchant Magic Item, Eye of Alarm, Magic Circle
Table and Chairs Scanning for magic reveals a strange disturbance around the table and chairs. Regortar believes that the magic is creating a temporal disturbance (altering time)
Under the table is the skeleton of what was once human wizard. The skeleton has a small box that contains a magical pearl which you identify.
Pearl of Power Utility Power Daily (Free Action) Trigger: You miss all targets with an encounter attack power of level 3 or lower. Effect: You do not expend the use of the power.
In addition, you find a small journal made from parchment.
Apprentice Journal The journal has one interesting entry.
…May the gods of magic forgive us, I’m afraid in our haste we have allowed a fugitive to take the test! How could we have known that the Empire of Aurim had an open arrest warrant for him! He has been accused of murdering his own sister! I’ll have to talk to the old man about this immediately. I truly hope I am not the one selected to enter the gem and pull him out! I can’t imagine what kind of twisted designs the gems has created for Chardath. I can hardly bare the thought of exploring the mind of a psychopathic killer, let alone enduring a test created for such a person...
Throne
This ornamental throne is much like the ones in the previous chamber; however, this one is dedicated to Solinari. You find a secret compartment and inside a Journal, a Potion of Resistance, a Potion of Cure Light Wounds, a stone tablet written in Bakali, and a white leather bound Spellbook,
The tablet contains a ritual called Energy Enhancement
Energy Enhancement You temporary imbue a weapon with magical energy. Level: 3 Component Cost: 35 gp Category: Exploration Market Price: 175 gp Time: 10 minutes Key Skill: Arcana or Religion Duration: Special You enchant one or more weapons so that the damage they deal is of a specific energy type. Each time you use this ritual, you determine the type of energy damage the affected weapon or weapons deal. If you used the Arcana skill you can choose from acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder. If you used Religion, you can choose from fire, necrotic, or radiant. Attacks with the weapon gain the keyword associated with the damage type. For example, if you enchant a weapon to deal fire damage, attacks made with it gain the fire keyword. The ritual lasts for a number of encounters determined by your Arcana or Religion check. You can divide the duration between up to three weapons (depending on your Arcana check), but each weapon must last for at least one encounter.
Arcana or Religion Check Result Duration 19 or lower 1 encounter 20-39 2 encounters 40 or higher 3 encounters
Master's Journal
This journal is very thin and lacks much to be desired. In fact most of the entries are short one sentence log entries like, “Created ritual circle’, or ‘Sent apprentice to fetch herbs’, etc. Only two entries seem to be of any importance.
… I have agreed to perform at least one test of high sorcery before we destroy the tower. Having at least one success in this land would at least make our failure a little more palatable.
…It seems we have our first test candidate from this land, one Chardath of Aurim. He told me that he is the son of a powerful noble family. I sense this individual is a very troubled soul. Even during my interview with him, I told him that no self respecting wizard carries an axe on his back! He insisted that the weapon was merely a good luck charm and that it is a gift from his father. I warned him that if he is unable to let go of his past the gem will completely absorb his life. I made it very clear to him that the penalty for failing the test of High Sorcery is death, but he remained confident.
Entrance Portal Around this portal are dust filled runes that read: "All Wizards are brothers and sisters in their order. All orders are brothers and sisters in the power."
Exit Portal This portal is a circular stone door set in the center of the 40’ high ceiling. The portal is adorned with an engraved pentacle. Extremely powerful magic emanates from the portal. All attempts to scan for magic beyond the door or past the ceiling utterly fail. It is very clear that the door and ceiling of this chamber are heavily protected and warded. Examination of the magic surrounding the pentacle reveals that it can grant ‘phasing’ to specifically attuned individuals or groups. Tracing the pentacle activates the magic.
Summoning Circle This circle is etched into the stone floor and is filled with silver. The circle was constructed to keep powerful entities inside.
Protection Circle This is a powerful circle etched into the stone floor and filled with silver. The circle was built to keep powerful entities outside and is perfectly constructed.
The Large Red Ruby This very large dodecahedron (d12) shaped Red Ruby floats 5 feet off the ground in front of the throne and silently spins and rolls in place. The ruby emanates powerful magic beyond your capability of identifying. You suspect that it's a powerful artifact of some sort.

Good Idea Regotar. If we manage to win the stones back, I'd expect at least my original two back, they're lucky. But for now, I'll let you have the green one (Evocation). Going down the list DM gave us... Bookshelves: Sangrias would take about 10 lbs. of books from the Magic of Radiance, if space allows. For the rituals, I'm not too enthusiastic about them; you guys can divvy them up any which way. Tables and Chairs (Pearl): Odd. Wonder what kind of temporal disturbance. Does time flow faster or slower there? As for the pearl, maybe Thrr or Ylrich should have it; they tend to make the most of their encounter powers. That's just my suggestion though. Apprentice Journal: Chardath = Evil. Gotcha. Throne: I don't mind how you guys divvy the potions, but someone without healing capability should have the healing pot, methinks. Obviously, Regotar should have the tablet, since he's the only one who can read it and use it effectively (looks like random scratchings to me). I personally would like the white spellbook though, to complete my personal library. Master's Journal: At least I know now why this renegade managed to screw things up so bad in here. No background checks. :s Entrance Portal: Makes sense, since this is the 'good' White Robes chamber. Exit Portal: Specifically attuned, eh? Good thing we have these spheres. Summoning and Protection Circle: Huh. Odd. Too bad we can't pick them off the ground, since it's etched into the ground. Large Red Ruby: Oh yeah, forgot that one. Well... I'm initially a little hesitant to do anything with it. Think we can just take it? It looks valuable.

You guys can determine that time moves about 4 times as fast if your siting on the chairs. In other words, while siting down you'll have more time to read a book.

Interesting.....
Then logically, it would also mean that casting rituals in there would be about 4 times faster. Considering we're probably gonna fight some undead creatures soon, perhaps Regotar could buff someone with some radiant damage, if only for the big encounter.
Reading right now would be a bit chancy; the master of the Tower is in dire straits while we're getting ready to help him. As for the large red ruby, I'm very confused why the renegade didn't do anything with it, unless he just used it as a focus of some sort. Rather than think logically about it, Sangrias would probably just take it and stuff it with all the rest of the stuff he's been looting. His pack is bulging with stuff.

We will have to wait until we play for Sangrias to take the ruby. As for casting rituals it might be rather difficult since you must be sitting down on the chair for time to move faster.

Drat. There goes one idea. At least if I could take a chair with me, and do my studying with that chair, it'll be a heck of a lot faster to read through those spellbooks. However, I doubt that a chair would be easy to carry around. Maybe a stool? Meh; I guess I'll wait for next session for the ruby. Of course, if someone else has any ideas for our eventual battle with Shivner, it's always welcome.
