Ability Scores For creating ability scores use method 1 or method 2 found on pages 17-18 of the PHB. Alternatively you can roll for ability scores. 4d6 drop lowest d6 and place were you want. If you roll bad you can do it over but you have keep what you roll the second time.
Books Allowed All books with the exception of Dragon Magazine, except when allowed by the DM
If you're interested in playing a race from Ansalon (like the Irda) let me know and we can work out the details.
Please note that we ll have to work together to detail some of the dragonlance races. I have old material that we can use as a base and in some cases there are good 4e conversions of the races on the internet.
Classes allowed All but Swordmage since it is a FR class.
Backgrounds Taladas has some cool backgrounds that I will list here soon. I won't post any rules for them, just the flavour text and if you are interested we can work out the details.

I rolled 18/78 str, 17dex, 16 con, 15 int, 16 wis, and 18 cha...sucks I'm gonna re-roll till I get 18/00 or I'm not playing
Nah seriously that is awesome Kev that you allowing rolls...I'm down to throw some d6 for sure. I say we all get on tonight or something and actually roll dice for stats...who's with me?
I'm gonna roll awesome cause I get a lot of practice rolling 6s in axis and allies...I'm the king of 6s man. I can invade Ukraine with 5 five fighters, 20 infantantry, and 10 tanks and still lose my ass against 10 infantry and a fighter. Perhaps we can log on to gametableonline.com, then I'll start an axis and allies game, I'll play japan and in the recreation of the pearl harbor battle I'll use those rolls for my character stats. I always get fucked by the dice in pearl harbor, I'll have the strongest character YEY!!!
--Oh question...do you roll 4d6 drop one d6 and then place the rolls anywhere you want...or in sequence...like str first, con second, etc.?

yeah it's 4d6 drop lowest and place were you want. Usually I always roll well so I kind of like the rolls more than the point buy. I can put the server up at night for everyone to login and make their characters. I might not be around, but if you want to roll just let me know and I'll be there.
oh and btw, I actually saw someone roll a 18/00 back in the day.. needless to say he made a duel wielding longsword fighter.
Man I haven't played Axis and Allies in ages. I just remember Japan being completely useless, after their sneak attack

The way it works is for all effects I will be always a Human. The Irda or High Ogres are basically not know to be still alive...is supposedly a race that was either corrupted (becoming the more familiar ..."me big, me smash little men" type or killed by refusing to accept Takhisis and the evil gods way...kind of... So even most of the Gods, specially Evil ones...believe them to be extinct. As part of their Survival process they were granted the shape change ability...even though is considered an "At-Will" power is really not something they would do in the open or in combat...it take them some time to recover after the painful transformation...I believe is at least 5 rounds according to 4e rules if I remember right what Kev said...... Also they stay in their last form even if they are unconscious or dead. Only very knowledgeable folks (like high level arcanne type I think) would have a chance to identify a dead body as one from an Irda...but I will leave that to Kev ehehe Bottom line is he would be like an Human bard unless otherwise in game situation comes up as we play that would reveal his true nature.
Hey Travis just FYI, Irda have some sort of magical bond with another specific individual from the Irda Race of the opposite sex. I think is something similar to the Vampire blood pact like when you suck blood 3 times from another vampire.... The reason for that is that besides their very, very very...long life they like to be kind of left alone to their things and not bother with long term relationships and that would eventually determine the End of the race. So basically this magical connection urges them to kind of "mate" with the other half, even if they may hate each other before discovering they are supposed to be each others Half....kind of weird and not sure how Kev will play this but it should give him plenty of opportunities in the future.
